Karl Schumann Productions is bringing us all the 1980s feels with his new series Stiletto, and we are here for the nostalgia.
“It was two in the morning, the clock was ticking, the rain was drizzling, and my cat’s relentless yowling wouldn’t stop waking me up. Frustrated, I turned on the television. There’s nothing good on demand to watch, so I switched over to one of my many streaming service apps. Forty-five minutes later, I’m so annoyed that I can’t find anything to watch that I decide to go back to bed. If one thing has been true of the past few years, there has been a creative atrophy in original content, and as I’m highly anticipating that Netflix is releasing Blonde and Disney+ is about to stream Hocus Pocus 2, I’m pleased to know that there’s a new colorful show on the horizon.” – Kelsey McCarthy
Stiletto, a new iconic series, promises to give viewers fashion, show girls, and cat fights, all while highlighting the stories of transgender individuals living in New York in the 1980s. Sadaisha Shimmers, the creative producer behind Stiletto, gave this comment: “Stiletto brings back the classic film noir style of using light and shadow to add depth and drama. So, we gave it a modern look. Stiletto leaves the black and white behind and pumps the color, bringing an electric technicolor feast for the eyes that radiates off the screen.”
“The world of Stiletto can be dark and gritty, as with the telling of the real-life experiences of transgender people in the 80s. The style of Stiletto brings a vibrance that illuminates the world. Stylistically, it’s one of the most fabulous shows I’ve ever experienced, and I think that’s because not only do we see these transgender individuals in everyday 80’s fashions, but we also see the extraordinary hair and makeup looks of the 80s. Then, when we get to see them in the context of New York nightlife and the showgirl world, and competing against one another in the ballroom, it takes us into it to a whole new universe.” Ms. Shimmers closed the conversation with this description, and with that, Kelsey McCarthy was salivating for more!
So, be sure to order popcorn in anticipation of this must-watch TV series. However, everyone will have to wait a bit longer, as Stiletto is premiering in late 2024. Personally, Kelsey McCarthy plans to watch the drama unfold on her good old-fashioned 6K Smart cable TV.
