The author is incredibly assiduous at describing New York in the early 1960s, comparing the violent backdrop of Williamsburg, Brooklyn to the gentrified version we know of today. About the Author:
Anselmo Vargas is a Freelance Copy Editor and Proofreader. He is a retired Union Business Agent and Vice President. Currently, he is a member of The National Writers Union (UAW Local 1981)
He is an advocate for Labor Rights and Social Justice and regularly volunteers with teenagers at an after-school program in a public High School near the Chelsea waterfront. During the summer months, he teaches Sailing on Meadow Lake in Flushing Meadow Park.
Anselmo is a proud Puerto Rican and Native New Yorker. He currently resides in Red Hook, Brooklyn with his trusted beagle, Nelly.
