American Cornhole Association Plans a New Set of Official Cornhole Rules

The leader in official cornhole rules will be expanding their authority into new rules created for a team environment.

The American Cornhole Association (ACA), the authority in official cornhole rules, has announced today, a plan to build upon the original and official rules of cornhole by adding a new way to play. While the expanded set of rules have not yet been published, the ACA has announced that they have been developing and testing a new format that accommodates for a team environment in the game of cornhole.

This new way to play cornhole will facilitate a roster of players to compete together against another roster of players, much like other team sports. Traditionally, cornhole matches have been played one-on-one (singles) or with a partner (doubles). By adding a new playing format and setting forth the standards of play, the ACA further establishes itself as the original and official governing body of cornhole.

The ACA aims to bring this set of rules to leagues, tournaments, and a variety of both professional and recreational organizations. The ACA renews its commitment to staying true to the original mission of the organization – establish standardized rules for how to play cornhole, as well as increase the popularity of the game. The team play official rules will fulfill both sides of that mission.

“We really see no limit to how far these rules can go,” says Eric Marvin, President of the ACA. “Cornhole continues to grow in popularity. By bringing people together into a team atmosphere with a structured set of guidelines, we’re confident these rules will become the standard for team-based cornhole.”

While other cornhole organizations have prioritized professional-play and country-wide ranking systems, the ACA continues to pursue ways to make the game of cornhole fun and accessible for people of all ages, gender, and experiences. The new team play rules will expand on the accessibility of cornhole to everyone.

“These rules can bring people together like this sport has never seen before. The ACA was founded upon grassroots effort and this new format and accompanying rules build on the momentum created all those years ago,” says Marvin.

The American Cornhole Association was founded in 2003 as the first corn-toss organization in the United States. Since inception of the organization, the ACA was the first to communicate formal standards and rules for how to play cornhole, establishing itself as the “Original and Official Governing Body of Cornhole.” The company has evolved in many ways, but one thing has remained consistent throughout – providing newcomers and cornhole enthusiasts with numerous ways to learn and enjoy the game of cornhole.

Today, the ACA’s “Official Cornhole Rules” is a top destination in the cornhole industry for people seeking to expand their knowledge of the game of cornhole, guiding millions of players every year.
