Fort Lauderdale – One of Venezuela’s top soccer players, Rohel Briceno, is eyeing a transfer to Major League Soccer professional leagues. During his recent exposition season with UPSL championship team Florida Soccer Soldiers, Briceno led the team to historic wins positioning them among the best teams in the country.

“Rohel has been a decisive player throughout the entire tournament to achieve the third title for the Florida Soccer Soldiers club and in the Southwest Conference final he was key on defense,” said Soccer Soldiers captain Antonioni Gonzalez.

Briceno is on loan from Trujillanos F.C. where he led the team to a national championship. As a free agent he decided to accept try out invitations from clubs in Europe and the US.

Briceno is a hot commodity on the pitch due to his speed, skill and proven record to stop players before they reach the goal. His international experience in Venezuela’s national team also gives him the leadership that US clubs are looking for.

As a senior member of the Venezuelan National Team, Briceno has various options both in Venezuela and abroad. US professional teams want to also capitalize on his huge fan base that have followed him to the US.

Having played for top teams such as Caracas FC and reaching Copa Libertadores, has cemented Briceno’s reputation as one of the best in the history of Venezuelan soccer.

“We are in discussions with various MLS and USL teams negotiating a deal while he performs exceptionally well in Florida,” said US soccer expert Alexis Lucas.
